| dc.description.abstract | Резюме. Системният lupus erythematosus (СЛЕ) е автоимунно заболяване, което засяга основно женския пол. Естрогените модулират растежа, диференциацията и пролиферацията на лимфоидните клетки, синтеза на цитокини и антитела и процесите на апоптоза. Женските полови хормони оказват своите ефекти върху тъканите чрез естрогенните рецептори. Целта на нашето изследване е да се проучи ролята на полиморфните PvuII T/C и XbaI A/G участъци в гена за естрогенния рецептор алфа (ЕР-alpha) за развитието и клиничната изява на системния лупус. Бяха изследвани 112 жени със СЛЕ и 50 контроли, като алелното разпределение на двата полиморфизъма беше сходно сред здравите и болните жени. Установи се връзка между полиморфизмите на ЕР-alpha и някои клинични прояви на СЛЕ. Сред болните с генотип ррхх (ТТАА)фоточувствителността беше по-рядка, отколкото при останалите, докато неврологичното ангажиране не беше характерно за болните с генотип РРХХ (ССGG). В заключение може да се предположи, че полиморфизмите PvuII T/C и XbaI A/G в гена за ЕР-alpha не са свързани с развитието на системния лупус, но вероятно модулират клиничните прояви на болестта. ***** Summary. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease, which affects predominantly women. Estrogens modulate the growth, differentiation and proliferation of lymphoid cells, the synthesis of cytokines and antibodies, as well as the processes of apoptosis. Female sex hormones act on different tissues through the estrogen receptors. The aim of our study was to investigate the role of the polymorphic regions PvuII T/C and XbaI A/G in the estrogen receptor alpha gene (ER-alpha) for the development and clinical characteristics of systemic lupus. 112 women with SLE and 50 controls were investigated. The allele frequency of the two polymorphisms was similar among patients and healthy women. Some relationships between ER-alpha polymorphisms and some of the clinical features of SLE were established. In the patients with genotype ррхх (ТТАА), photosensitivity was less frequent, than in the others, while neurological involvement was not present in patients with genotype РРХХ (ССGG). In conclusion, we suggest that PvuII T/C and XbaI A/G polymorphisms of ER -alpha gene are not crucial for the development of SLE, but they presumably modulate the clinical features of the disease. | en_US |
