| dc.description.abstract | Резюме: Геронтологията и гериатрията са тясно свързани. Гериатрията е основен клон на съвременната геронтология. Заедно с това тя принадлежи и на клиничната медицина. Гериатрията (гериатричната медицина) се развива основно от средата на 20-и век до днес. От 1947 г. насам тя е утвърдена като самостоятелна (първична) специалност в няколко водещи европейски страни. Развитието на българската геронтогериатрия е твърде неравно. Българският Център по геронтология и гериатрия (ЦГГ) е основан през 1963, но след това е пожертван. Задължително студентско обучение по ге- ронтология и гериатрия все още няма в българските медицински факулте- ти и това е изключение, особен случай в Европа. В ЦГГ бе осъществено СДО, медицинската специалност геронтология и гериатрия бе официално въведена, след това зачеркната и отново възстановена, но без истински условия за клинична гериатрична работа и преподаване. Безспорно гериатричната работа има своя специфика и свои методични подходи. В тази статия се прави опит за тяхното обобщаване. ***** Summary: Gerontology and geriatrics are closely interrelated. Geriatrics is a principal branch of the modern gerontology. At the same time, it is a part of the clinical medicine. Geriatrics (or geriatric medicine) has been developed in the middle of the 20th century. Since 1947, it was recognized in many European countries as an independent (primary) medical specialty. The development of the Bulgarian gerontology and geriatrics is uneven. The Bulgarian Centre of Gerontology and Geriatrics (CGG) was founded in 1963, but afterwards it was sacrificed. An obligatory student’s education in gerontology and geriatrics has not been introduced at Bulgarian medical schools up to now. At the CGG a post-graduate education was carried out, and the specialty in gerontology and geriatrics was officially recognized, however only for a short period of time. Later it was cancelled, and then restored again, but true conditions for clinical geriatric work did not ensue. The clinical geriatrics has its specific methodical approach and characteristics. An attempt to summarize them is one of the aims of this paper. We also would like to stress on the need of future clinical and educational geriatric units. | en_US |
